It was a great summer for us here at South Bucks RDA. The horses, as well as the volunteers, get a little well-deserved break. Although our schools do not ride with us during the summer holidays, we do offer group rides to children living in the South Bucks community. This was set up in conjunction with South Bucks District Council to offer local disabled children fun activities to take part in over the summer holidays, which, as we all know, can be very difficult for families to find! Welcome to our Spring 2017 newsletter It is a busy time for us here at South Bucks RDA with preparations for the Regional and National Championships. All qualifying rounds of the Countryside Challenge have now taken place and we are only a couple of weeks away from the RDA Regional Show at Wellington. South Bucks RDA Newsletter February 2017 Congratulations are in order Congratulations to Sally for passing her Grade 1 & 2 Tests in Riding and Horse Care. Not only did she pass, but she passed with flying colours. Sally loves her weekly horse riding, which shows in her immense enthusiasm and the hard work she puts in to achieve and progress. She has a big soft spot for Lambrusco (we can’t blame her) and they are a great Team when working together in the School. Well done Sally! National Championships South Bucks RDA members have had fabulous competition results this summer. We had 12 members representing SBRDA at the National Championships at Hartpury in July, and for the rst time this year the Championship was a three-day event. All our riders achieved great results, however a few must get a special mention. On the Friday, Cameron (Tuesday rider) riding Forrester, and supported by Malcolm, won the Countryside Challenge Class and the Combined training class. Saturday saw Jamie winning the Grade 1a dressage class riding Robin. On the Sunday, Jonnie won the grade 3 dressage riding Robin.
